The International Architecture Awards 2016

The Plantagon World Food Building in Linköping Sweden, was awarded “The International Architecture Awards 2016” by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, in July 2016.

The International Architecture Awards are the largest and most extensive global architecture awards program in the world, annually honoring new projects that achieve a high standard of excellence in design, construction, planning, and sustainability. The Plantagon World Food Building in Linköping Sweden, designed by Sweco Architects, was one of the prominent projects selected by the jury for the prestigious International Architecture Awards 2016.

SACC New York – Deloitte Green Award

Plantagon has been awarded the 2012 SACC New York-Deloitte Green Award for our breakthrough “green” innovation within the food chain, the Plantagon Vertical Greenhouse. The award was presented by H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden at the Royal Gala Award Dinner on October 3, held at the Mandarin Oriental.

European CEO of the year 2012 – Sweden

Plantagon CEO Hans Hassle has been named CEO of The Year 2012 SWEDEN by European CEO. “A world leader in the field of corporate social responsibility, the founder and CEO of Plantagon has become a shining beacon of inspiration for ethical business people … Hassle merges the principles of a non-profit and a for-profit organisation, ensuring the company is equally responsible for the success of both intentions”, the journal European CEO says in its nomination.

“In times of uncertainty, great chief executives must strike a balance between seizing opportunities and exposing the company to excessive risk. Examples abound of those who thought they were achieving the former but ended up doing the latter. Here, we have selected those CEOs from around the globe that we believe to have performed to the best of their abilities, in the European CEO Global CEO of the Year Awards, 2012″, the journal says in the introduction to the Awards.

But I am also glad that a small company like Plantagon can not only become leader in a new field like Urban Agriculture, but also serve as a model for sustainable business and leadership”, says Hans Hassle, Plantagon CEO.

Always promoting a moral basis for business, Hassle merges the principles of a non-profit and a for-profit organisation, ensuring the company is equally responsible for the success of both intentions.”

Plantagon was awarded the Red Herring Top 100 Europe in 2011.

The Red Herring editorial team selected the 2011 Top 100 Europe in Amsterdam on May 25, 2011. This group of 100 companies are the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds from across Europe. The Top 100 are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries.

World Expo Shanghai – 2010

The Plantagon Vertical Greenhouse was selected one of 50 Swedish innovations for the Swedish Pavilion of the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai with the key words “Sustainability, Innovation and Communication”.

Plantagon was nominated to the first Katerva Award in 2010 and also in 2011.

Plantagon was honored in The 2011 International Business Awards, and was recognized at a gala ceremony in Abu Dhabi on 11 October, where Stevie Award trophies and distinguished Honoree (honorable mention) medals were presented.

Plantagon was awarded Distinguished Honoree in the category “Food & Beverage” along with companies such as Carlsberg, Kanza Wine and Al Ghadeer Water Factory, etc. Cathegory winner was San Miguel Corporation.
